Dr. Ravi Patel
Chairman – Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center (CBCC India)
Dr. Ravi Patel was born in South Africa and moved to Gujarat, India where his heart belongs to. He did his Schooling at St. Xavier’s (Loyola) at Ahmedabad. He went to Bhavan’s College before completing his Medical Graduation from Gujarat. He then went to Africa where he was practicing literally everything from Dentistry to Oncology in a 150 bed Hospital. He then moved to Chicago along with his wife Dr. Naina Patel (The lady behind this man’s success; specialized as Cardiac Anaesthetist) where he did his residency and fellowship and finally moved into Bakersfield, California in 1984 to setup the Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Centers following the advice of his wife, Dr. Naina Patel. It was then a 1200 Sq. Ft. four-person office which has now evolved to one among the largest private free-standing cancer center in USA.
A Significant Contributor towards Cancer Care in India
Though his practice was based in the USA, He was always keeping himself abreast with the happenings in India, especially Cancer Care in India. In an attempt to increase awareness and provide education on cancer, he funded one crore for this project in the districts of Anand & Kheda, Gujarat which is being run by Karamsad Medical College. His mission still felt incomplete and thus he planned to start a comprehensive cancer centre which could not only detect, spread awareness, and impart education but actively provide the most effective treatment and therapy. Dr. Ravi Patel decided to start centres in alliance with several leading hospitals in India.
For 22 years now, we have had multiple state-of-the-art Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Centres in many cities of India, providing International standards of cancer care with a Human touch.
A Man with Passion
Dr. Ravi Patel a physical fitness aficionado with regular yoga and meditation. He’s a Hiker, a family man and a civic supporter, philanthropist. He is an avid reader, particularly in the areas of philosophy and religion. Most of all, Ravi Patel is a Doctor and undoubtedly one of the dedicated Medical Oncologist in the world of cancer patients. His passion for the care of cancer patients has made him bring a paradigm shift in cancer care for this new century and his aim is to save every cancer patient he gets in touch with; He will win the battle for his patients.
